Meet Farrah Naz Karim, Group Editor of the New Straits Times (NST), a prominent publication based in Kuala Lumpur that will celebrate its 180th anniversary next year. With an illustrious career spanning 24 years at NST, Farrah has established herself as a multi-award-winning Journalist. Her accolades include the prestigious top honours from the Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA) and the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA).

The glass ceiling for women has been broken. It is now up to us, the women leaders of today, to ensure that it stays that way.

Farrah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications and has played various prominent roles within NSTP since 2000. Her extensive experience includes serving as the Putrajaya Bureau Chief, Associate Editor of News and Current Affairs and Executive Editor overseeing Commercial and Integration initiatives. Farrah’s tenure has been marked by a focus on enhancing the strengths of the NST brand and leading a team of over 100 journalists and staff.

Additionally, Farrah has experience in Broadcast Journalism, having worked briefly with Media Prima Television Networks as the Executive Producer for Current Affairs Programmes. Her leadership and expertise continue to shape the Journalistic landscape, ensuring the New Straits Times remains at the forefront of news and media in the region.
