Dato’ David Gurupatham
Dato’ David Gurupatham was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1992. He has been in active practice for more than 30 years in the firm known as DGK.
Between 1999 and 2004, He was chairman of the Legal Aid Committe of the Selangor Bar and a member of the Bar Council Legal Aid Committee. During his tenure, He was part of the team that pushed efforts to support women’s aid NGOs. He played an active part in the Law Reform Committee of the Bar Council during that period to assist in bringing forward and reviewing laws to protect women and children in this country.
During the Covid Pandemic, Dato David led a coalition of trade associations to lobby the government to help open industries, particularly those that affected women and the B40.
A strong advocate of women and children’s rights, he brings some value through his experiences to the Summit.
